Graham Alexander has dismissed speculation linking him to the vacant manager's job at Preston North End, insisting his focus is solely on Bradford City. The 54-year-old addressed the rumours ahead of his side's trip to face Luton Town this weekend.

"I am not on social media so I have not seen anything first hand," Alexander told reporters. He acknowledged the connection given his history with Preston but stressed his immediate priority. "It is not the first time I have been linked with Preston North End given my relationship with the football club."

Preston parted ways with Paul Heckingbottom on Sunday after a poor start to the Championship season. Alexander, who took charge at Valley Parade in November 2023, has overseen a successful period for the Bantams. He won automatic promotion from League Two in the 2025/26 season and guided the club to a fourth-place finish in League One last term.

His team currently sits third in the table with 12 points from six games, just one point behind leaders Sheffield Wednesday. They travel to face 12th-placed Luton on Saturday, looking to extend a three-game winning run in the league. The last meeting between the sides ended in a 2-1 defeat for Bradford back in February.

Alexander's recent form is impressive, with his team averaging 2.5 goals per game over their last six matches. Alexander stated he is at peace with the nature of football management and remains committed to the task at Valley Parade. Preston North End have made no official comment on their search for a new manager. The manager's immediate attention is fixed on securing another positive result at Kenilworth Road.
