Bradford City will kick off their EFL Trophy campaign with a night of football and nostalgia. The Bantams face Newcastle Under-21s on Tuesday, September 22, at 7.30pm at Valley Parade, with the club promising a '90s-themed evening of entertainment. Graham Alexander's side will then travel to Rotherham United on October 6 before hosting York City on November 10 for an '80s night under the floodlights. A spokesperson for the club said: "Our opening game of the competition will see us “party like it’s 1999” on our ‘90s night’, before welcoming the newly promoted North Yorkshire outfit for a vibrant 80s evening. "Expect unique entertainment, music and lots of decade-themed fun around the ground on both special evenings. "Come and be a part of a special EFL Trophy campaign at Valley Parade by securing your tickets now! Only the lower tier of the Morrisons Family Stand will be open to home supporters for the group stage fixtures. Ticket prices are set at £10 for adults, £8 for 65+ and under-24s, £5 for under-17s, and £2 for under-12s. Supporters who buy a ticket will receive 20 ‘City Points’ added to their account in the week following the conclusion of the match. Bradford City are currently 4th in League One, with 77 points from 46 games, and a recent form of 1W-0D-4L. They are 26 points behind leaders Lincoln, and have scored 58 goals this season, conceding 51.
