Bradford City's captain Max Power has completed a move to League One rivals, marking his third spell with the club. The 32-year-old midfielder leaves after just one season in West Yorkshire. Power signed a two-year deal with City in May 2025 after spending the 2024-25 season with Danish top-flight club Aarhus. He was a mainstay in City's drive to the League One play-offs last term and made 51 appearances in all competitions for the Bantams. Power has had two previous productive spells with Wigan and now returns for a third spell with the Latics. He previously made 244 appearances across two previous stints – in what proved to be a golden association with the Red Rose outfit, which saw the club win three League One titles with the club in 2015-16, 2017-18 and 2021-22. Power left Wigan for a second time in the summer of 2023, despite then boss Shaun Maloney wanting to retain him. He elected to pursue a fresh challenge in Saudi Arabia with Al-Qadsiah FC, who were then managed by Robbie Fowler.
