Bradford City have appointed Antoni Sarcevic as their new club captain, with Graham Alexander praising his leadership and professionalism. The 31-year-old midfielder has been a key player for the Bantams, helping the team to a 4th-place finish in League One last season with 77 points from 46 games. Sarcevic said: “It is a proud moment in my career to be named the captain of this fantastic football club. Just representing Bradford City as a player is already a massive privilege, so to be given this responsibility is a major honour for me, but also for my family.” Graham Alexander added: “Before giving the captaincy to Antoni, I could see he was already the leader of this squad with his experience, professionalism and high desire to win.
