Bradford City have rejected an official approach from Preston North End for manager Graham Alexander. The League One leaders confirmed the move was turned down in a statement released on Tuesday.

The club said it had received and declined an approach from the Championship club for its manager. Alexander, who has overseen a perfect start to the season with five consecutive wins, is contracted to the Bantams. The statement was a firm response to speculation linking the 52-year-old with a move to Deepdale.

Bradford City currently sit top of League One with 15 points from seven games. Their next fixture is at home to Barnsley on Saturday, 26 September.

The club's strong position and recent form, which includes a 2-1 win over Newcastle United U21s last time out, made retaining their manager a clear priority. Alexander took charge at Valley Parade in November 2025.
