Bradford City has lost midfielder Jenson Metcalfe to Millwall, who have signed him on a long-term deal. The 21-year-old made 49 appearances for the Bantams last season, helping them reach the League One play-offs. Metcalfe, a product of the Everton youth academy, spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Chesterfield before joining Bradford City last summer. He becomes Millwall's first close-season signing and is expected to add value to the squad. The Championship club's director of football, Steve Gallen, praised Metcalfe's traits, saying he was a mainstay in the Bradford team last year. Metcalfe's move to Millwall marks a significant departure for the Bantams, who are currently 4th in League One with 77 points from 46 games, 26 points behind leaders Lincoln. The team has scored 58 goals and conceded 51 this season, with a +7 goal difference. As the new season approaches, Bradford City will look to rebuild and find new talent to fill the gap left by Metcalfe's departure.
